Hey there, Christine, and welcome to planDisney! It's awesome that you're here with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! My Panelist pals and I are here and always thrilled to help our fellow Guests plan unforgettable vacations!
Christine, you'll be happy to know that there is so much to do at Walt Disney World Resort that doesn't require a Disney Theme Park ticket. Since you're checking in at Disney's Pop Century Resort, you'll enjoy all the benefits of being a Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest. This means you can take advantage of the pool as soon as you arrive! You can also head to Disney Springs, where you'll find tons of shopping and dining experiences. Have you ever played
Miniature Golf at Walt Disney World Resort? It's so much fun and perfectly themed! A
Fishing Excursion would definitely help start your vacation with a splash! Your boys also might really enjoy
FootGolf at Disney's Oak Trail. I recommend checking out the
Enchanting Extras collection to learn all about experiences that will help you have a perfect start to your holiday.
I know you said you're not really water park folks - and I get that. I wasn't, either. If it weren't for the
Water Park Benefit, I don't think I would have stepped foot in a water park... but here I am, a recent water park convert. Each water park has slides ranging from thrills to chills, and even a lazy river. I was a skeptic, but I found that with a decent pair of water shoes, a swimsuit that wouldn't budge, and some waterproof mascara, I really enjoyed the more family-friendly slides, and I absolutely loved relaxing in the lazy river. The best part is, since it's included with your stay, you don't have much to lose!
Christine, I hope this is helpful to you as you plan for your first day at Walt Disney World Resort. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See ya real soon!
