Hi Carlos! Welcome back to planDisney and welcome home! Isn’t it great taking your whole family or even extended family along for a fun vacation at Walt Disney World? Our family has had some pretty epic trips, including a friends trip to celebrate my 40th birthday at Disney’s Riviera Resort and celebrating my daughter’s first birthday with both sets of grandparents at the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Carlos, if your Home Resort is at Walt Disney World, I highly recommend booking a villa at that resort first in order to secure a reservation during your
priority booking window and see what other DVC resorts are available at 7 months. Now, here are some of my favorite 2 bedroom villas:
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village
- Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
The 2 bedroom villas at these 3 Resorts all sleep up to 9 people and have the added luxury of a third full bathroom in the living room, a necessity for large families getting ready in the morning. Both Bay Lake Tower and the Polynesian are on the monorail, making it convenient to get to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Carlos, you mentioned the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. I personally have not stayed there yet, although I do have an upcoming reservation there with
some close friends that I consider family. It certainly is a unique room type that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the forest, just be aware that one of the rooms has bunk beds.
Now we’ve talked a lot about 2 bedrooms but if you have enough Vacation Points for a 3 bedroom grand villa, I think it might be worth the splurge! Some of my favorite 3 bedroom villas include Bay Lake Tower for its floor-to-ceiling windows (perfect for watching Magic Kingdom fireworks!) and Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo House for its billiards table and savanna views. If you want the convenience of a 1-story 3 bedroom villa, you’ll want to check out the following DVC resorts:
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Boardwalk Villas
- Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo House
- Grand Floridian
- Riviera Resort
The remaining DVC Resorts that have 3-bedroom villas are 2-story. Now, I know I’ve thrown a lot of suggestions at you and this hasn’t even scratched the surface in terms of dining options, proximity to which theme parks, etc. But hopefully this gives you an idea of some of what I value when looking for a villa.
I’d suggest taking a look at
the point charts to see what best works for your Vacation Point allotment (don’t forget you can always bank, borrow, or buy
One-Time-Use Points). You may also want to look at some of the floor plans and virtual tours. To do so, select the desired Resort on
the DVC website, click on “Rooms & Points”, and scroll down to the desired room type to view floor plans and any available virtual tours.
Carlos, I hope you find this information helpful and wish you happy planning for your 2027 trip! If you have any further questions, I’d be happy to provide additional information. Thanks for reaching out to planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
