I'm happy to hear that you are planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort next year! Before you know it, you'll be arriving for a magical stay filled with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories.
Guests with 2025 Disney Resort hotel reservations had
access to the water park on their arrival day. There was no minimum length of stay, which meant even Guests staying overnight have received this benefit. The complimentary access was added to your My Disney Experience account and was valid for all Guests listed on the Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation. Walt Disney World has announced that this perk will return in 2026, although it will only be available to Guests visiting in the summer. With your anticipated arrival in April, this will not coincide with this added perk. Exact dates for this benefit have not been released just yet, and Disney has stated to check back for more information. If you are flexible with your dates, you may be able to take advantage of the water park access.
In previous years, only one water park has been operating at a time. Currently,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is open and welcoming Guests each day. I would expect at some point that this park will close for routine maintenance and Disney's Blizzard Beach will open back up. However, there is no telling when that will take place. I suggest following along with the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and announcements. This past summer, Disney opened both water parks at the same time to help with the influx of Guests visiting during the warm summer months. I'll be interested to see if this occurs again next year.
