Greetings, future space traveler Natalie!
Welcome to planDisney. I see that you will soon be making the journey from the other side of the pond, as my fellow panelists Abi and Matt like to say. My family and I were just in the UK over the summer and had a fabulous time. I hope that you and your family will have just as amazing a time here vacationing at
Walt Disney World. As luck would have it, you are interested in our favorite restaurant,
Space 220. Why don’t we launch into your answer now!
Once inside EPCOT, you will make your way over to the terrestrial-based host station for Space 220. Once checked in, you will receive your Centauri Space Station Boarding Passes. This is your ticket to a captivating culinary adventure like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. Next, you will board the Stellarvator, which will rocket you up 220 miles above the Earth to the space station. Upon arrival, one of the flight crew will provide you with a menu and escort you to the dining area, where you will see the bustling world of space tourism through the expansive wall of windows. The view is out of this world. Keep an eye out, you might even see someone spacewalking their dog!
I have some great news to share with you about your dining. You are absolutely allowed to have nonalcoholic drinks, such as water, tea, or sodas, with your meal. Cocktails or wine are certainly not required. Something I would like to share with you, though, is that they do have an amazing selection of mocktails that you may want to consider. I have also had a few drinks that I was able to request be made without alcohol because they looked so awesome. You can consult with your server for more information on what is available at the time of your dining, as drink offerings do change periodically in my experience.
I’ve found that Space 220 is very popular, and I highly recommend booking an advanced dining reservation as early as possible when your 60-day booking window opens. If, for some reason, you cannot get the day or time you are looking for, I would keep checking availability on the
My Disney Experience app, as this is the best place to find openings, since people may cancel or change their reservations.
Natalie, I hope that your family’s journey to the Centauri Space Station is magical, and you enjoy your time dining at the edge of space. If you have any further questions before your trip, please stop back by here at PlanDisney, where we’ll be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
