Hi Stephanie!
Welcome to planDisney!
I’ve personally used
Rider Switch in a similar way with no problems! In my case, we’re a family of 5, and although my 8-year-old is old enough to ride in a vehicle by himself, he still gets too nervous to do that. So on rides that only seat two across, we’ve used Rider Switch so we can all enjoy the ride without anyone having to sit by themselves!
When you get to
Guardians, chat with the Cast Member at the entrance to the queue to let them know the situation, and they’ll be happy to help as they can.
It’s good to note that if you all plan to use the Lightning Lane to enter the ride, everyone riding will need to have purchased a
Lightning Lane for the attraction, even when using Rider Switch. If you do not have a Lightning Lane for Guardians, the first group riding will need to wait in the standby queue, then the second group riding will be able to enter through the Lightning Lane.
After riding Guardians, we’ve made it a little tradition to head over to
Club Cool to do a soda taste test. While the Cucumber Sprite is my go-to after that ride, you can’t miss trying the Beverly while you’re there!
I hope you and your family have a great trip! Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan. We’re always happy to help!
