Are there many ice machines at Port Orleans French Quarter?

    Hi Courtney,

Welcome to planDisney! We're happy you're here and we can't wait to help with all the details to make your Walt Disney World vacation a magical one.

You've picked a terrific resort for your stay. The Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter has so much Louisiana charm with a good dose of pixie dust sprinkled on top. It's one of the smaller resorts, so all the amenities are only a few steps away.

You asked specifically about the availability of ice. Each of the seven buildings at the French Quarter resort have an ice machine and vending machine on every floor near the elevator. Signs along the corridors will direct you. Ice buckets plus glassware are provided in your room.

You will also have access to ice for filling your water bottles or refillable resort mugs at the drink station in the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory, the resort's food court. As I said, this is a relatively compact complex, so you won't be more than a 5-minute walk from any part of the resort, no matter where your room is located.

Which means you always will be just minutes away from the hot, fresh beignets at Scat Cat's Club Cafe, from the Doubloon Lagoon pool and the Sassagoula River Cruise transportation to Disney Springs.

Just talking about the French Quarter resort has me craving one of those sugar-topped beignets or maybe a New Orleans-inspired Sazerac from Scat Cat's Club Lounge.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Courtney. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you finalize your plans.

    Enjoy!
