Hi Christina!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney again. We love seeing Guests return for more tips as they plan out their magical visits to the Happiest Place on Earth! You are going to love visiting during
Halloweentime—easily my favorite time of year to be in the parks. There's nothing quite like experiencing the magic while the happy haunts are out to play!
I'm thrilled to hear you secured tickets to the
Oogie Boogie Bash! Before I start gushing about what a frightfully fun event this is, let's take a look at your question so we can get all of your plans in place. You are correct that a
MagicBand+ can only be linked to one ticket at a time, but you do have a few options if you are using both a standard theme park ticket and an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket on the same day. Within the
Disneyland app, you can easily reassign your MagicBand+ to your Oogie Boogie ticket with just a few taps when it's time for the party to start. Head into the app and tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Scroll to MagicBand+ and select the band you are looking to reassign. You will see the option to "Remove Admission", which will then allow you to assign it to your Oogie Boogie ticket. You can then reassign it back to your standard theme park ticket for your next park day. Alternatively, you can plan to simply enter Oogie Boogie using the app itself and scanning the barcode for that ticket directly from your phone instead of using your MagicBand+.
If you decide to spend the day at California Adventure with your standard theme park ticket, you will not need to exit and re-enter to enjoy Oogie Boogie. There will be a designated spot within the park where you can check in and receive your credentials or wristband. Alternatively, if you have a One Park Per Day ticket and spent the morning at Disneyland, with your Oogie Boogie ticket, you can enter California Adventure as early as 3:00 PM to enjoy some of the attractions before Oogie Boogie and his team of villains take over at 6:00 PM. You will see there are specific lines at the entrance gates designated for Oogie Boogie ticket holders. Speaking of villains, you will want to hit the trail at
Villains Grove for a mystical walk through the forest of the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail with some familiar faces making an appearance! This is one of the most unique character experiences you'll have during your visit!
Once the clock strikes 6:00 PM, I recommend taking advantage of all the party has to offer and saving the traditional California Adventure experiences for one of your regular park days. From the trick-or-treat trails to your favorite pals like Mickey and Minnie dressed in their Halloween costumes to the
Frightfully Fun Parade, there is so much mischief to enjoy!
Christina, I hope this has been helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions, please feel free to reach back out to us here at

Happy haunting!
Tara
