planDisney. I’m so excited to hear that you will soon be crossing the pond to stay at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge while visiting
Walt Disney World. My family and I have stayed at both Jambo House and Kidani Village several times, and it is absolutely amazing. There is nothing like waking up in the morning, stepping out onto the balcony, and seeing all of the animals roaming the Savannah while drinking your morning coffee. My kids especially enjoy watching the animals chase and play in their natural habitat. Luckily, we won’t have to go on a safari to get your answer.
I do see that Jambo House will be undergoing refurbishment during your visit. During this time, you may see and hear construction work in the area. Most amenities will be open during this time as well. In my experience, not all of the room types are under refurbishment at the same time, so as to accommodate guests who have booked those rooms. Cast members know how important it is for you to get the room you booked and will do everything in their power to make sure that happens during the refurbishment.
Be sure to check the daily activities schedule at the front desk for the most up-to-date offerings. There are so many things available, such as crafts, games, movies, and more. I highly recommend the campfire activity where you can roast marshmallows. It’s so much fun!
