Hi Lucie! Welcome to planDisney. Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is almost there! I’m thrilled to help answer your questions so you can enjoy the magic with as few worries as possible.
As of now, no attractions at either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure are using a virtual queue. The only current use of the virtual queue is for securing access to a reserved viewing area for
World of Color Happiness!, which typically performs twice nightly over at Paradise Bay. All attractions are available via standby lines, and select experiences offer access through either
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or
Individual Lightning Lane entry.
Since you mentioned that
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a must-do (and I agree as it’s as delightful as beignets on a sunny New Orleans morning), I’m happy to report that this attraction no longer requires a virtual queue. Instead, it’s included with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which helps you bypass the standby line so you can spend more time exploring the parks or maybe indulging in some gumbo or grabbing a mint julep!
You can add the Lightning Lane Multi Pass when you purchase your theme park tickets or after scanning into your starting park for the day. If Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a top priority, I recommend either heading straight there at rope drop (when lines are typically the shortest) or using the Multi Pass to reserve a return time later in the day. Afternoons in Southern California tend to get warm, and that’s also when this bayou journey sees its longest wait times. And yes, you will get wet, so packing a poncho or dry change of clothes might help you stay comfortable for the rest of your day!
Lucie, I hope this helps you feel more prepared to enjoy not only your magical visit with Princess Tiana but everything else the Disneyland Resort has to offer. If you have any other questions, come on back to planDisney. We’d love to help stir the pot.
Wishing you a practically perfect adventure,
David
