Hi Danielle and welcome to planDisney.
How exciting that you're planning a Summer 2026 visit to my favourite holiday destination -
Walt Disney World! My family have also booked a trip for next August and are already excitedly counting down the days until we are back, soaking up the Disney magic.
As I have an 8-year old daughter, in recent years, we have tended to visit during the UK school Summer holidays. Sun hats, sunglasses, portable fans, cooling towels, ponchos, an umbrella and plenty of sun cream are my absolute essentials when visiting at this time of year.
Top Tip - Did you know that free iced water is available from select
Quick-Service dining locations at Walt Disney World? There are also refill stations located throughout the park where you can obtain water for free. To save money when my family visit, we always bring plenty on-the-go squash bottles with us, to add to the water, to make cordial for us to drink.
Going back to your question, Danielle, when purchasing 14-Day Magic Tickets as part of a
Hotel + Ticket package from the Walt Disney Travel Company, via the Walt Disney World website, here in the UK, the start date of your 14-Day Magic Ticket is automatically selected as your date of arrival.
You are quite right in saying that, 14-Day
Magic Tickets can be used over an 18 day usage window. So, for example, if you booked a 14-Day Magic Ticket as part of a Hotel + Ticket package, with an arrival date of 8 August 2026, your tickets would be valid on any 14 days from 8 - 25 August 2026.
If you did want to change the start date of your 14-Day Magic Ticket to a few days later than that which is automatically selected, at the time of booking, my best advice would be to
contact the Disney Experts at the Walt Disney Travel Company to enquire if it is possible to do so.
You can contact them 7 days a week by calling freephone on 0800 169 0730 and their opening hours are as follows:-
Monday - Friday 9am-8pm
Saturday 9am-7pm
Sunday 10am-6pm
If you are planning on booking your Hotel + Ticket package via an alternative Travel Agent, you will need to contact them directly, to ask the question.
I'm sorry that I couldn't give you a definite answer on this occasion but please do, feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any further help with the planning of your 2026 trip.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
