I’m looking at moving to a moderate from value as I’m going for 2 weeks. I got the basic free dining plan but upgraded to the quick Disney dining plan, if I moved would I get the upgrade refunded?

Hi Justine and welcome back to planDisney - it's so lovely to see you here, again.

With so many amazing Disney Resort hotels to choose from when visiting Walt Disney World, it's no wonder that you are having difficulty in deciding which one you would like to stay at, during your upcoming visit. If it makes you feel any better, my family have the exact same struggle each and every time we book our next trip.

I would highly recommend making use of the complimentary Resort Transportation during your next stay to visit a number of different Disney Resort hotels which will hopefully help you to decide where you'd like to stay, during a future visit.

Our favourite mode of transport has to be the Disney Skyliner which is almost like an attraction in itself. We also usually do a monorail loop at some point during our holiday, hopping on and off, to explore the Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Village Resort and Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, one at a time. Be sure to try a Lapu Lapu (my favourite speciality cocktail at Walt Disney World), from the Tambu Lounge Bar at the Polynesian Village Resort, en-route!

Going back to your question, the answer really depends on the booking terms and conditions which were applicable, when you made your original booking. For this reason, you will need to contact the Company who your existing booking is with, so that they can access your booking and advise you accordingly.

If you booked with the Walt Disney Travel Company, via the UK version of the Walt Disney World website, you can contact their Disney Experts, 7 days a week, on freephone 0800 169 0730. Their opening hours are as follows:-

    Monday - Friday 9am-8pm
    Saturday 9am-7pm
    Sunday 10am-6pm

If you booked via an alternative Travel Agent, you should be able to find their contact information on your booking confirmation.

The one thing that is for sure, Justine, is that no matter which Disney Resort hotel you decide to stay at, you will have the most amazing time!

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to give you a concrete answer to your question on this occasion but, hope that the information provided has been of use.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
