Hello! I’m planning to book a stay at the Disneyland Paris hotel from July 29th-31st. I would like to know which meal plan is the best option if i want 3 meals for the 29 and 30th and just breakfast for the 31st (is that even possible?)

    Bonjour, Mitzi!

I'm thrilled to hear about your plans to visit Disneyland Paris this summer. My family stayed at the spectacular Disneyland Hotel just after its refresh in early 2024, and I'm still dreaming about those gorgeous rooms and stunning views of Disneyland Park. Let's discuss your meal plan options, so you're prepared to feast during your stay.

As you've likely seen, guests can choose to add breakfast only, half board, or full board meal plans to their reservation, with the total number of meal entitlements depending on the length of stay. Based on your travel dates, it looks like you'd have a 3-day/2-night visit. I reached out to a friendly chat representative who advised me on exactly how many meals each plan would include for this reservation. The breakfast-only plan would offer each person in your travel party 2 breakfast vouchers (these would be used on July 30 and July 31). If you opted for half board, each guest would receive the 2 breakfast vouchers as well as 2 additional meals, which can be used for lunch or dinner at any point during your stay.

If you opt for the full board plan, you would again receive 2 breakfasts plus 5 additional meals to be used for lunch or dinner on the days of your choice, for each guest on your reservation. I'm not sure what time you plan to arrive, but it seems like the full board meal plan would give you 2 meals to use on your check-in day, 3 for the 2nd day of your visit, and breakfast and lunch on your check-out day.

When my family visited, we also had a 3-day/2-night trip, but decided to forgo the meal plans altogether as we wanted to spend as much time as possible enjoying the attractions and shows. We did opt for an à la carte Table Service dinner at Bistrot Chez Rémy on our second day, and lunch at Walt’s – an American restaurant on our departure day, before we headed on to enjoy time in Paris proper. We ate the rest of our meals from Quick Service locations and snack carts. We found that breakfast options were more limited than what we are used to at the US Disney Parks, but we managed just fine.

If you are hoping to enjoy a lot of Disney Character Dining during your visit, a full or half board meal plan would likely prove to be the most cost-effective choice. As a guest of Disneyland Hotel, you would qualify for the Premium plan, which includes the "widest selection of eligible restaurants, including Disney Character Dining restaurants." You can also use as many of your meal vouchers on lunches and dinners with Disney Characters as you like.

Mitzi, I hope this information helps you make the best plan for your visit. If you need additional guidance or recommendations, please don't hesitate to return to planDisney and be our guest again. We're always happy to help!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
