Hiya Cassandra,
Welcome to planDisney! Nothing beats visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays! I don’t know if it's the incredible decorations, the yummy treats, or the snow on Main Street, U.S.A., but there is just something uniquely special about the Most Magical Place on Earth in December.
What a great question, Cassandra! I love having the
Disney Dining Plan when I visit because it lets me have one nice table-service meal each day. It is the perfect way for us to take a minute to rest our legs, chat about our favorite parts of the day so far, and strategize about next steps. The great news is that, yes, currently you can upgrade a Quick Service Dining Plan to a Disney Dining Plan! There are two ways to do this after booking your initial reservation: the first is through
My Disney Experience on the website. You will log on to your account, locate your resort hotel reservation, and select “Change Reservation.” On the next page, you will see all of the aspects of your current reservation and what you can modify. Scroll until you see “Add-Ons to Enhance Your Stay” next to Dining Plan; it should say “Change.” It will show you the price difference of your reservation, and you can then click and confirm changing your dining plan. The second option is to reach out to a Cast Member in
Tickets and Hotel Reservations by phone, who can assist you with making the necessary changes!
I hope this was helpful, Cassandra. Before I let you go, as you continue planning for your upcoming vacation, I wanted to remind you to save space in your itinerary for
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This after hours event is one of my favorite things to do with my littles, and we always budget a little extra for the tickets. My daughter loves the event's exclusive parade and fireworks. We love the shorter attraction waits and yummy treats. Details haven’t been released yet, so stay tuned to
Disney Parks Blog. If you need anything else, including dining recommendations, please visit us again. We would be honored to help you have the best vacation ever.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
