Hey Renee,
Welcome to planDisney! I am super excited that you’ll be visiting Walt Disney World in just a few short days. I’m so glad you came to see us here at planDisney with your question as you plan for your trip. Let’s get that question answered!
It sounds like you have plans to visit
EPCOT during your visit. No Disney World trip is complete for me without a stop at EPCOT where the world is literally your oyster. This park features 11 pavilions representing different countries from around the world such as Canada, Mexico and Japan to name a few, as well as the World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery areas. EPCOT is also home to a few annual festivals. You’ll be visiting during the
International Flower and Garden Festival where you’ll find beautiful gardens, character-themed sculptures and topiaries, unique exhibits and fresh flavors. You’ll love this festival and all it has to offer.
Drinking around the world is a colloquial term used by guests who plan to visit all of the countries represented within the World Showcase area to enjoy beverages in each pavilion. While drinking around the world isn’t an official Disney activity, guests are encouraged to visit each pavilion and try something new or interesting. I’ll tell you Renee, I’m personally more excited about the potential to eat around the world showcase than anything else, especially during the festivals. The various snacks and small bites that you can find throughout the pavilions can’t be beat. I typically leave EPCOT with a full belly! That said, if you do plan to visit each of the pavilions for a cocktail, use
this handy park map to plan and remember that Disney World has
property rules that will need to be followed, so be sure to hydrate, eat and be mindful.
While you’re there, be sure to take advantage of all the cool happenings in EPCOT. Since you’re there during a festival there will certainly be a ton of food to try from the
outdoor kitchens. During the
Garden Rocks Concert Series there’s live music nightly and there are some pretty cool acts taking the stage while you’re visiting. The
gardens and topiaries provide great greenery and florals to look at but also a beautiful series of backdrops for selfies or your
PhotoPass photos! Finally, if you feel that the cocktails from the outdoor kitchens don’t meet your needs, snag a reservation at
GEO-82. This is EPCOT’s newest lounge providing innovative cocktails, delicious small plates and scenic views of World Celebration. Advance reservations for this experience are required.
I hope this information is helpful, Renee. I know you're going to have a great time next week! If you need additional help with planning please don’t hesitate to let us know. See ya real soon!
