I’m proposing to my girlfriend when we come back. I’m planning on doing it at the Magic Kingdom Fireworks. I’m looking at doing the pre or post party so we have a good spot, is their any photographers around to capture the moment, we have memory maker

    Hiya Dylan,

Welcome to planDisney! What a magical way to propose to your Happily Ever After! Walt Disney World Resort has been such a special place for me to commemorate some of my most important moments, so I am honored to help you plan this special moment.

Despite the Happily Ever After fireworks show being my favorite, I think it is perfect for you to propose there. I can just see it, Cinderella Castle projecting the floating lanterns from Tangled as “I See the Light” plays, and you get down on one knee. That section always makes me smile, and it is towards the end of the show which makes it practically perfect in every way. Now I have seen PhotoPass photographs along Main Street, U.S.A. during the show, but I wasn’t sure I had seen them near the hub grass where the dessert party viewing area is. I reached out to a Cast Member, and she told me that while some Cast Members are taking photos along Main Street, U.S.A. during the show, there are generally no photographers in the hub grass area, unfortunately. Since it tends to be a heavy viewing area for Guests, they try to stay out of the way. If you are looking for someone to take photos for you during the proposal, I would recommend asking another Guest who is also at the dessert party for assistance. In my experience, people who visit the Most Magical Place on Earth tend to be nice people, so if you ask someone before you head to the viewing area while your girlfriend is occupied at the dessert buffet or bathroom, you can coordinate it on the fly.

I wish I had better news, Dylan, but I hope this was helpful. Before I let you go, you mentioned you have Memory Maker for your trip, so I wanted to make sure you knew about Capture Your Moment photoshoots. One great way to celebrate her saying yes is to take photos at your favorite theme park in a dedicated photo session. During these 20-minute sessions, a PhotoPass photographer will help you capture the ring and the special beginning of your new chapter together. I’ve done it to celebrate a pregnancy before, and the photos are always extraordinary! Plus, since you already have Memory Maker, you can download all of your photos after the shoot, since they are included with Memory Maker. I hope that you have the most magical trip, and I am wishing you so much pixie dust as you all embark on your Happily Ever After together. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
