I'm traveling with medication that needs to be refrigerated. Can I request an actual small refrigerator at the Deluxe Studios instead of a drink cooler? I'm also taking a Disney Cruise first and will need one there as well. Thank you!!

    Hi Kedra,

Welcome home! And welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question today about your upcoming land and sea vacation, including a stay in a Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Studio! I love getting the opportunity to chat with fellow Disney Vacation Club Members about the many benefits of membership! We recently returned from a land and sea vacation and had the best time making memories together as a family!

Good news, Kedra! DVC Deluxe Studios have fridges as opposed to drinks coolers, so you should not need to make any additional requests. However, I would always advise taking a travel thermometer with you so you can be sure the fridge is just the right temperature for your needs.

When it comes to setting sail on Disney Cruise Line, your room will be equipped with a cooler or fridge; however, you may have to look for it, as on my recent sailing on the Disney Wish, it actually looked like a drawer. Now, drink coolers will not necessarily be the temperature you need, so again, a handy travel thermometer will be a great help. You may find it useful to complete a Special Services form prior to your cruise to make sure everything you need is in place.

I have linked to a brilliant answer from my planDisney pal, Rayna, here. She is a medical professional who has given some brilliant advice about travelling with medication on Disney Cruise Line. How great is it that the planDisney panel is made up of real Guests from all sorts of professions – I can only help with human resources and UK employment law, unfortunately, not much help for a Disney vacation!

I hope this answers your question today, Kedra, and that you are able to have a brilliant and safe vacation at Walt Disney World and on the high seas! If you have any further questions about your membership or vacation planning, please reach out to me. I'd love to help!

    See ya real soon!
