Welcome to planDisney, Nicolas, and welcome to Florida! One of the benefits of living in Florida is the ability to access
special deals at Walt Disney World for Florida residents. Immigration status, like holding a J-1 visa, isn't the deciding factor. What matters is that you're a current Florida resident, and I'm happy to walk you through exactly what you need to get the tickets you're looking for!
The easiest
proof of residence is a government-issued photo ID with your Florida address; think a Florida driver's license or state ID. If you don't have one, no worries. You can bring a photo ID, like your passport, plus one of the following official documents showing your name and Florida address: a current mortgage statement, a current homeowner's insurance policy or bill, a current automobile registration or auto insurance policy, a current utility bill, mail from financial institutions, or mail from federal, state, county, or city government agencies.
Good news: digital versions of these documents are fine. You can show documents printed from an online account, or display them on your phone or tablet, as long as the document clearly shows your name and Florida address. You may be able to complete this process online when you buy your tickets, or you may be prompted to present your proof of residence at a ticket window or
Guest Relations to activate your Florida Resident ticket. Everyone over the age of 18 using a Florida Resident ticket needs to show their own proof of residence.
I hope this answers your question, Nicolas, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
