Hey there, Mary! Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by with such a great question!
If you're anything like me, the dining experiences are a big part of the fun and magic of a Walt Disney World vacation. And since you plan on dining at the stunning
Cinderella's Royal Table and the oh-so-fun
Garden Grill Restaurant, your planning is off to a practically perfect start. As a physical therapist and Disney fanatic, I have a passion for magic and mobility and am thrilled to answer your question today!
I think you will be happy to hear that the restaurants at Disney World, including Cinderella's Royal Table and Garden Grill, are wheelchair accessible. Cinderella's Royal Table has an elevator, Garden Grill has ramps, and both restaurants have wheelchair accessible seating.
When you make your dining reservation, just be sure to select "Wheelchair accessibility" under the Accessibility Requests. Then, when you are checking in for your reservation, discuss your needs with the Cast Member. Let the Cast Member know if you need to stay in your wheelchair or can transfer to a dining chair with your cane. They will be more than happy to help!
Mary, as your vacation approaches, I recommend checking out the
Services for Guests with Mobility Needs page on the Walt Disney World website. This webpage has fantastic information on renting wheelchairs, parking, experiencing attractions with a mobility device and more.
I hope this helps, Mary, and I hope you have the most magical adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth. May it be full of great food and great fun! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have.
You've got a friend in me,
Mandy
