Aloha, Lorna!
What can I say except "you're welcome" to planDisney! Thank you so much for surfing by with your question. How exciting that you are staying at a Penthouse Villa in the Polynesian Tower at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. As our family loves all things Hawaiian, this Resort is one of my favorites at Walt Disney World, immersing you in the spirit of Aloha and the magic of Disney.
Lorna, based on my research, it looks like the kitchen area has a Keurig combination coffee pot. These have been appearing more and more in the Disney Resorts, especially the Disney Vacation Club properties. They are the best of both worlds because you have both the full-size traditional coffee pot and you also have a single-serve "pod," for when you just need an extra bit of superhuman strength like Maui to get through your Disney day. It's my favorite way to start my Disney day! If you want a special treat to go with your coffee, I recommend the Chocolate Haupia Tart from
Kona Island - it's a delicious taste of Hawaii!
Here's a tip, Lorna! Typically, each Villa will come with some Joffrey's coffee in the room. Should you need more, you can place a request for more through the
"Hey Disney" device in your room. It's the electronic with Mickey Ears that is like your own personal navigator during your Disney vacation! Whether you need more supplies, towels, or blankets for your Villa, need to know the theme park start times, are looking for some Disney Trivia, or want a wake-up call from your favorite Disney pals like "Hei Hei", this can all be done straight from your room on "Hey Disney." It's like having magic at your fingertips - literally!
I hope this helps you. If you have any further questions, sail back here to see me. At planDisney, we know the way to help you find the magic that you seek on your Disney vacation.
A Hui Hou (it means "until we meet again" in Hawaiian),
