We still have our magic band plus that we used at Disney World, how do we link that to our Disneyland package?

Hi Evelyn, and welcome to planDisney! I love that we can use MagicBand+ at Disney World, Disneyland, and Aulani, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line. It really makes the bands such a great value. So let’s make sure you’re all set to use your MagicBands on your upcoming trip!

At Disneyland Resort, MagicBand+ is linked to a ticket, instead of a profile, like at Disney World. So we’ll need to answer your other question first about linking your theme park tickets in the Disneyland mobile app

When you booked your Disneyland vacation package, you should have received a confirmation email that contains your theme park tickets. The tickets typically have a barcode or QR code along with the type ID (usually a combination of numbers and letters). If you can’t find this, I’d recommend calling the Vacation Packages phone number, and a Cast Member would be happy to help!

Once you’ve located the barcode, QR code, or type ID number, you can add the tickets in the app by going to ≡ in the lower right corner, selecting My Tickets & Passes, and then Link Tickets & Passes. I usually find it easiest to use my phone’s camera to scan the barcode or QR code from the confirmation email, but you can also enter the type ID number manually.

Once this is done, you’re all set to link your MagicBands! Just make sure the bands are charged before starting the linking process. When you’re ready, go into the app, press ≡ in the lower right corner, and then MagicBand+ (under Account). On the next screen, select + in the top right corner and then Open Scanner to Link. You’ll be prompted to scan your MagicBand+ and pick which ticket you’d like to link it to.

Before I go, I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss the special MagicBand+ activations happening throughout Disneyland Park as part of the 70th celebration! You’ll find five different spots around the park where you can scan your MagicBand+ for a magical surprise. If can't find one, Cast Members can always point you in the right direction (I needed a little help finding the spot in Adventureland!).

I’m wishing you the best stay ever at Disneyland later this month! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
