We are a military family who currently lives and owns a home in Southern California, but our driver's license is in the state of Montana. Can we still get the CA Resident Pricing?

Hey there, Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney!

First and foremost, thank you to your family for the many sacrifices that come with military life. We’re so grateful, and I’m happy to help clarify your ticket options.

For the California Resident ticket offer, a valid government-issued photo ID showing a California residential address is required both at the time of purchase and when the ticket is used at the parks. Since your current driver’s license reflects a Montana address, you unfortunately wouldn't be eligible for the California resident pricing, even though you live and own a home in Southern California.

I know that's not what you were hoping to hear, Jennifer, but hold onto your Mickey ears—I have some great news! As a military family, you should be eligible for the 2026 Disneyland Resort Military Promotional Tickets, which also offer excellent value. Active or retired members of the U.S. military or their spouses may choose from 1-Day, 1-Park tickets or 3-Day or 4-Day tickets with the Park Hopper option. These special tickets can be purchased at participating U.S. military bases. There’s also the option to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which can be a great way to maximize your family's time together in the parks and enjoy even more attractions during your visit.

And lastly, if you’re looking ahead to the new year, the timing couldn’t be better! The Disney Parks Blog recently shared the lineup of events and special offerings coming to The Happiest Place on Earth in 2026, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting year filled with seasonal celebrations and plenty of reasons to plan a visit. That includes the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, which continues through the summer and adds even more magic with special décor and festivities across the resort. I’m personally looking forward to the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival most—I just love that springtime weather and those California-inspired bites!

Jennifer, with so much magic ahead, it’s a wonderful time to start dreaming and planning your next Disneyland adventure. If you have any other questions along the way, we’d be delighted to help here at planDisney.

    Have a magical day!
