How do I modify my reservation to add more nights?

Hiya, Lani! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for reaching out with your question. Extending a Walt Disney World vacation is honestly one of my favorite “problems” to solve. If you're lucky enough to add more nights, I'm thrilled for you! The great news is that modifying your reservation to stay longer is something you can usually do yourself online, and it's very straightforward.

To get started, head to the Walt Disney World website and log into your account. Once you're signed in, hover over the My Disney Experience tab and click on “My Plans and Tickets.” Scroll down until you see your resort reservation listed. Right there, you'll find the option to update it. Just select “Modify Reservation” and you'll be taken to the page where you can make changes.

From there, all you need to do is locate your travel dates and adjust them to include the extra nights you'd like to add. The system will automatically check availability for your resort and room type, and it will reprice your stay based on the new dates. Before you confirm anything, you'll clearly see whether there's an additional amount due right away or if the balance simply updates for later payment. Nothing is finalized until you approve the changes, so you'll always know exactly what you're committing to.

If your reservation is part of a vacation package, the website will also account for any other elements tied to those dates, like tickets or a Dining Plan, and update them accordingly. It's all handled in one place, which makes the process much less stressful than it sounds.

If for any reason you don't see the option to modify your dates online, or if availability isn't showing what you expect, a friendly Cast Member on the Tickets and Hotel Reservations hotline can always help you over the phone.

Lani, I hope you're able to add those extra nights and soak up even more magic. A longer stay means slower mornings, more park time, and a little extra Disney joy, and that's always a win in my book! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We're always available and more than happy to help!

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
