Hi Kathie,Thanks for visiting planDisney with a question about your upcoming trip. You'll be passing under the iconic Walt Disney World welcome arch before you know it! I love how Disney Resort Hotels offer a variety of activities for Guests to enjoy. My kids always look forward to poring over the Resort Activity Guide to plan the activities they want to do! Activities offered at the resorts are sometimes rotated to keep things new, but at the moment, the Resort Activity Guides cover from now until the end of December 2025. I tried out the Spanish Mosaic Art class at Coronado Springs Resort (held in the Dahlia Lounge) last month with my planDisney pal, Melissa. We were excited to try a new activity and bring home our art. We booked our class through the My Disney Experience Mobile app 60 days before our trip. This class is currently offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1:00 PM EST. There is one other mosaic class that can be booked in advance (subject to change): African Mosaic Art at Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village (in the Palace library). This class is held on Tuesdays at 1:30 PM and can be booked by calling the Tours and Recreation phone number. I chatted with a Cast Member who shared that at the moment, the following mosaics classes are offered and can be booked through the resort:
For the base of the mosaics, Guests can choose from a selection of shapes. Many of the Resorts offer ones specific to their theme, or, depending on the time of year, some shapes may be seasonal. Plan to set aside about two hours for this relaxing activity (depending on your creative pace!). When Melissa and I finished our pieces, we carefully boxed them up and were reminded to let them dry completely before wiping away the excess grout. We decided to drop them off at our resort before heading out to meet friends in the parks, but renting a locker is another option if you want to skip traveling back to your room.
