Can motorized scooters be loaded onto buses and skylines?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Lynn!

Welcome to planDisney! We are THRILLED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready for an adventure filled with MAGIC, music, and those unforgettable “pinch me” moments that only Disney can deliver. From the first time you hear that cheerful park music to the last firework bursting over Cinderella Castle, every detail is designed to make your trip feel effortless and unforgettable. AND, if you or someone in your party will be using a motorized scooter, you will be excited to know that Mickey has made getting around just as MAGICAL as everything else.

Disney World is truly one of the most accessibility-friendly vacation destinations on the planet, and they have done a fantastic job making sure everyone can experience all the enchantment with ease. If you’re using a motorized scooter (often called an ECV), you’ll be happy to know that every Disney bus can accommodate scooters. When the bus arrives, the driver will lower a ramp or lift, help guide you aboard, and secure your scooter in a designated spot before the rest of your group boards. It’s smooth, simple, and part of Disney’s daily routine, so you’ll never have to worry about missing out on any of the fun.

Now, let’s talk about the Disney Skyliner because scooters can glide right onto that as well! The Skyliner has special gondolas designed to pause in a separate loading area, giving guests with ECVs extra time to board safely. You’ll roll right on, stay comfortably seated, and enjoy one of the most scenic (and breezy!) rides on property as you soar between EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and several Disney resorts. It’s a total game-changer for convenience and for those “wow” moments above the treetops.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
