Welcome to planDisney Geri! Thank you for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you and your partner will soon be heading to
Walt Disney World Resort! Managing plans and MagicBands can feel a bit tricky when sharing one account, but the great news is that Disney makes it simple to stay connected and organized.
You and your partner can both use the same
My Disney Experience account on two different phones. The My Disney Experience app will work normally on both devices, and your linked MagicBands will still function as expected. MagicBands are connected to individual profiles within the shared account, not to the phone itself, so each person’s band remains uniquely tied to them.
When you arrive at the park, each of you will scan your own MagicBand at the entrance. You don’t need to scan your partner in, since their MagicBand will already be linked to their name under the shared account. If your partner ever forgets their MagicBand, you can still open the app on your phone, access their
digital ticket, and have them scanned in that way.
It’s a good idea to make sure both phones have Bluetooth turned on, especially if you’re using MagicBand+ for interactive features, and that both devices have the latest version of the My Disney Experience app installed. This setup makes it easy for either of you to view plans, manage Lightning Lane selections, or make dining reservations throughout your visit.
Geri, it sounds like you and your partner have a wonderful plan in place for your upcoming visit! Sharing one Disney account across both phones will make it easy to manage your plans together and stay connected throughout your stay. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. I hope your trip is filled with magical moments, and memories you’ll both treasure for years to come!
