hi my name is christina, i am looking to take a trip to disney in december of this year. it will be 4 adults and 3 children under 3. we woukd like to go for 4-5 days and need tickets to the parks.

Hi Christina, and welcome to planDisney. Thanks for your question.

Visiting Walt Disney World with little ones is an incredible experience. Watching their eyes light up as they take in the sights, sounds, and characters around them creates memories that last a lifetime. I’ll never forget the first time my son met Mickey and gave him the longest hug. It’s moments like that which keep families coming back year after year, and I have no doubt you’ll feel the same on your trip this December.

The good news is that purchasing tickets is simple and convenient. Head over to the Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets page, and the system will guide you step by step. You’ll first choose how many days you want to visit, then select the start date of your vacation, and finally pick which ticket type works best for your family.

If you’re not familiar with the ticket types, I'll provide a brief overview. A 1 Park Per Day ticket allows you to visit one theme park each day of your trip. The Park Hopper Option gives you the flexibility to visit multiple parks on the same day, which can be especially fun if you want to start at one park in the morning and end your day with fireworks somewhere else. The Water Park and Sports Option includes visits to Disney’s water parks and other activities like miniature golf, in addition to your theme park admission. The Park Hopper Plus Option combines the flexibility of Park Hopper with added access to water parks and sports experiences, providing the most variety.

Since your three children are all under the age of three, they’ll be considered Guests of Mickey and will not require tickets. Ticket pricing is divided into Ages 3–9 and Ages 10 and up, so that’s where you’ll see the cost come into play.

And since you may end up saving a little more than expected on admission, you might want to plan how to spend that extra room in your budget. If you swing back by with another question, I’d be happy to share my favorite snacking spots for little ones (and adults, too), as well as point you toward the best Disney merchandise to take home as keepsakes from your first family trip.

    TTFN,
    Brent
