Hi Britany,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions. I’m so happy to hear that you were able to secure your vacation!
If you’re considering renting a car, you’re in luck! There’s an
Enterprise Car Rental office located on the second floor of the
Pixar Place Hotel. You can rent a car from the airport and drop it off at the hotel, or pick one up from the hotel to explore the city in the middle or at the end of your trip.
Since you’re visiting at the tail end of January, you might be there while California Adventure Park celebrates the
Lunar New Year! This festival highlights Asian culture while celebrating the New Lunar Year. 21026 will make the year of the Horse. Last year, Mickey and Minnie wore colorful Korean attire to celebrate the festival; I can’t wait to see what their cultural outfits will look like this year. You can also find Mulan and Mushu greeting Guests near Paradise Garden Grill. One of the highlights of the festival is
Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession; the vibrant costumes and cultural performances featured are spectacular. I recommend watching the second performance of the evening, when the lights make the colors and details look even more magical.
The Lunar New Year Festival also features plenty of delicious bites and beverages inspired by different Asian regions. If you’re finding it hard to choose what to try, consider purchasing a
Sip and Savor Pass. It allows you to sample several different items (excluding alcoholic beverages) at a reduced price. It’s a great deal and a fun way to experience a variety of flavors! Be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog
Foodie Guide for the 2025 festival to get an idea of what might be offered, and keep an eye out for the 2026 guide as it becomes available.
I hope this information was helpful, Britany! If you have more questions or would like additional tips for your upcoming adventure, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to add a little extra pixie dust to your vacation.
Have a magical vacation!
