Welcome, Drew!
We're so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question. It looks like you are in the parks this weekend, so let's jump right into your question and get you moving into the magic.
I have some good news for you! At Disneyland, you can unlink a
MagicBand+ from one MyDisney account and link it to another MyDisney account. You will need your Mom's assistance, as the first step will be to unlink it from her account, which is easily done in the
Disneyland app. Have her head to the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and scroll down to "MagicBand+". In here, she will find all the bands currently linked to her account. Have her tap the one that belongs to you, and at the bottom, she will see a button to "Unlink". Once unlinked, she should no longer see it in her list of bands, and you are free to link it to your account. It's as simple as that!
Once you have the band unlinked and in hand, you will open up your Disneyland app, log in with your own credentials, and head to the "MagicBand+" section as well. From here, tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner to link a new band. Follow the instructions from here, and you should be all set. If you have any issues, I recommend heading to Guest Services once you are in the parks for some hands-on troubleshooting.
I'll toss some pixie dust in the air in the hopes that your band is relinked and you are off to Never Land! With your MagicBand+ in tow, you can take advantage of some special activations in and around Disneyland Park in honor of the
70th Anniversary! Some planDisney pals and I did this last May, and it took us on a fun seek-and-find adventure! There are five locations throughout the park, and I'll give you a hint: think about some of the original attractions to find a few of these fun activations!
Drew, I sure hope this was helpful! If you have any more questions, please come back to see us here at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
