Hi Chris!
You are just a few magical days away from your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, and we're happy you stopped by with your question! I like to map out my park days around parades and nighttime spectaculars as well, so you've come to the right place. Let's see what we can find out together.
I like to start by taking a good look at the
Park Hours and Entertainment Schedule. This is typically updated about six weeks ahead of time. While we walk through the schedule, please note that all events are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. I recommend double-checking the Entertainment Calendar in the Disneyland App for the latest showtimes at the start of each day, or you can always ask a friendly Cast Member once you are in the parks!
Over at Disneyland, while there are no parades currently running, there is plenty of nighttime entertainment to experience! Galaxy's Edge has two offerings:
Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga lights up the night with a storytelling adventure with showtimes currently scheduled for April 30th, May 2, and May 3 while
Fire of the Rising Moons with Fireworks offers a new perspective on the castle fireworks and can be seen on May 2 and 3. Above Sleeping Beauty Castle, you can catch
Mickey's Mix Magic with Projections on the night of April 30th, and with the bonus of fireworks on May 2 and 3! My personal favorite,
Fantasmic!, also has showtimes on May 2 and 3. Something to keep in mind while you plan is that Disneyland Park will close early at 8:00 PM on May 1 and 4 for standard theme park ticket holders as the park is hosting
Disneyland After Dark's Star Wars Nite, which is a special, ticketed event. California Adventure will remain open until 10:00 PM, and if you have Park Hopper Tickets, you can just bounce over there for the rest of the evening. Speaking of California Adventure, you can catch
World of Color - ONE each evening of your visit as well! You will be immersed in Disney storytelling at its finest, swept away in the music as you watch water and color dance together to retell your favorite tales.
Chris, I hope this was helpful, and you are well on your way to some magic and unforgettable memories this week! If you're looking for an extra special experience, I highly recommend the
World of Color Dessert Party, which offers sweets and treats while you watch the show from a seated, preferred viewing area. It allows you to sit back, relax, and soak it all in, and you don't need to worry about arriving early to get a good spot! I did this with my planDisney pal Carrie not too long ago, and we loved every minute. It looks like there is still some availability during your visit!
If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!
Magic awaits!
