Hi there, Alysia! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I love that you’re already thinking ahead about packing for your Disney Cruise Line vacation. Being prepared always makes embarkation day a little smoother.
Disney Cruise Line's policy allows each Guest to bring two checked bags, plus one carry-on bag and one personal item (like a purse, backpack, or laptop case). The carry-on does need to fit through the security scanner at the port, so it should be no larger than 22” high, 14” wide, and 9” deep. Also, you will receive
luggage tags for your checked baggage about one month prior to your cruise. Just remember to place them on your bags when you arrive at the port.
One tip I always like to share, since you won’t usually be able to access your stateroom until around 3:00 PM, you’ll be carrying whatever you bring in your carry-on with you. So, it’s a good idea to pack light and make sure your “Embarkation Day Bag” has just the essentials. Things like travel documents, medications, sunscreen, and maybe even a swimsuit if you’re planning to hit the pool right away. If you’d like some extra guidance, you can always visit the Disney Cruise Line website for a
suggested packing list. It’s a great resource to make sure nothing important gets left behind.
Whether you’re the type who packs only the basics or the “just in case” over-packer (I'm guilty of this myself!), you’ll be in ship-shape, Alysia!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
