Will my old magic bands it work at Disney

Hi, Mike! It's awesome that you've stopped by for help planning your upcoming Disney trip.

Yes, your old MagicBands should still work at Disney! As long as they’re linked to your My Disney Experience account and connected to your current tickets or hotel reservation, you can use them for park entry, Lightning Lane access, and even charging purchases if you’re staying at a Disney resort.

That said, if your band is a few years old, the battery inside might not work as well anymore, especially for the features that rely on the long-range sensors (like automatic PhotoPass linking on attractions). The good news is, even if the battery is fading, your band will still scan just fine for entering the parks and rides.

Just check your MagicBand’s status in the My Disney Experience app under “MagicBands and Cards.” If it’s listed as active, you’re good to go. And if you decide you want to try one of the newer MagicBand+ styles, you can still keep your old one linked, as it doesn’t replace it.

So yes, bring your old MagicBand along! It’s not only convenient, but it’s also fun to wear something with a little Disney history and personal memories attached to it.

    Have a magical time, Mike!

    Toodles,
    Korliss
