Welcome to planDisney, Rebekah!
I hope you’re starting to feel that excitement that comes with planning a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, including but not limited to all the
rides,
characters, and, of course, all the
deliciously delightful food waiting for you! From Mickey-shaped treats to meals fit for royalty, there’s a little something for every palate. Even the pickiest of eaters! So, let’s dig in and make sure your little one finds the most magical plate on Earth!
Many table-service and quick-service restaurants offer plant-based and vegetarian options, and while the standard kids’ menu often features classics like chicken tenders and mac & cheese, you’ll usually find a few lighter or meat-free choices, too. If your little Mouseketeer prefers a meal of veggies, fruit, and salad, you can absolutely request substitutions! Disney chefs are incredibly accommodating, and they’ll do their best to plate up a meal that makes both your kiddo and your dining experience magical.
At table-service restaurants, I highly recommend letting your server know about your child's preferences. They may be able to mix and match side dishes or offer a modified version of an entrée. And at many spots, you can even ask for a simple dish like pasta with butter or a fresh fruit plate if that’s more their speed.
For quick-service dining, you can check menus in advance on the
My Disney Experience app, and in some cases, even mobile order to customize meals to your little one’s liking.
Pro tip! Remember, you can always bring along some of their favorite snacks in case hunger strikes between bites of Mickey-shaped everything! So pack those from home and have them handy, just in case.
I hope this helps you whip up the perfect dining game plan! If you need more suggestions,
I’m all ears (just like a certain favorite pal of ours). Wishing you a vacation filled with magical bites and zero mealtime stress!
See ya real soon!
