Are park tickets bought from SAMS or IDme valid and accepted?

    Hey there,

Welcome to planDisney Michelle! Thank you so much for dropping in with this question about tickets purchased from third-parties. When I vacation I always make sure I use the discounts from my employer to my best advantages.

There are a number of ways to get tickets for “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Some people purchase them with their vacation packages from Disney Destinations. Some folks have military discounts and educator discounts of all different types. You always have to be sure to read the fine print before your purchase of course, but if you are referring to the membership clubs as well as ID.me. In my experience I found these are trustworthy avenues to purchase your park tickets from. Once you make the purchase, you will either get an email with your tickets or physical tickets. You will be able to add them to your plans using the My Disney Experience App. Once you sign in, you will go to the three lines at the bottom right of your screen. Then you will see an option that says “My Tickets and Passes.” you will then tap on the blue + and then use “Link Tickets and Passes.” from here you will be able to scan a barcode or type in the ID number that was provided. Once you have added the tickets, you can assign each ticket if you have more than one person in your party.

If this happens to be your first visit, I always recommend 3-day Park Hopper passes to be able to experience most of theme parks have to offer. I usually start one of my park days at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Getting there early to be able to see the animals on the savanna while riding Kilimanjaro Safari is always a highlight. If you do get an early start, a midday break helps you get to the end of the park day when you hop to your second park. When it comes to the star of the show, Magic Kingdom Park shines the brightest. This park you may want to visit twice. I like to be there for a morning, to experience park opening. I also want to make sure I end a day here, Happily Ever After is an amazing fireworks spectacular that happens over Cinderella Castle each night. If you are visiting during one of EPCOT’s festivals, you may want to spend a day there, especially if you are a foodie. There are usually food booths filled with some of the most delectable bites you will recall from your visit. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to Galaxy's Edge where Star Wars enthusiasts will feel like they stepped right into the movies. Rise of the Resistance is the most technologically impressive attraction I have ever experienced. Even a non-Star Wars fan will be in awe with all the special effects that make this ride the main attraction. If you have little ones, they will be shrunk down to the size of a toy when they enter Toy Story Land. And Toy Story Mania is always an event when my family visits. We compete and compare scores in this arcade style attraction. Each rider interacts using a boardwalk style cannon to pop balloons and break plates in 3-D. An absolute rootin’ tootin’ time as Woody would say.

I hope you find this information to be helpful. and that you have a magical time once when you arrive.

    See ya real soon,

    Jeremy A.
