Hi Tammy!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney as you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! With so much to see and do, choosing the right
tickets for your vacation is an important first step!
Tammy, you cannot currently make payments toward a ticket-only purchase on the Walt Disney World website, as tickets require payment in full at the time of purchase. While I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, I'm happy to share a few thoughts if you're hoping to spread out the purchase price.
First, if you're planning to stay in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make your hotel reservation and ticket purchase together as a vacation package.
Vacation packages require a deposit at the time of purchase, but allow you to make payments on your schedule until the final payment is due. Booking a vacation package not only ensures that you enjoy the wide range of
benefits afforded exclusively to resort Guests (including
free water park admission on your check-in day this summer!), but you can also take advantage of some great
Magical Extras. You can also choose to
add a dining plan to your vacation package, which allows you to pre-pay for many of your meals and snacks before your arrival - a great help with budgeting! Plus, don't forget that Walt Disney World is offering a great special offer throughout 2026, where
kids (ages three to nine) get a free dining plan when the adults in their reservation purchase their own. This can be a great savings if you're traveling with any young Mouseketeers! If you're looking for a cost-effective resort option, I'd recommend checking out
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort. I had the best time enjoying the fun theming and free resort activities like Movies Under the Stars and nightly campfires when my son and I stayed here last year!
If you don’t need a hotel stay and just want to purchase tickets, you could buy Disney Gift Cards in small amounts each month as a budgeting strategy. I like doing this as it not only helps to spread out the cost of my trip, but I can often find discounts on gift cards available at local retailers. You can combine the value of your gift cards by visiting the
Disney Gift Card website (currently up to $1000). Since most purchases on the Walt Disney World website only allow you to use one form of payment, this is a helpful tool when purchasing smaller gift cards and using them for a larger purchase. If you're buying multiple tickets and your total cost exceeds that $1000, you can purchase your tickets in separate transactions or
contact a Cast Member at Tickets and Hotel Reservations for additional help.
I hope this information has been helpful, Tammy, and that you enjoy a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort later this year! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Cheers,
Kristi
