Hiya Beth,
Welcome back to
planDisney, and thank you for bringing your question! We have been researching electric vehicles recently, so it was great to dig a little deeper into your question about
parking.
I completely understand your question. If you need to plan time in your day to move your vehicle, you should know that in advance so you can plan accordingly. I chatted with a Cast Member, and she told me that, since there are few spots at each theme park (and resort hotel) and they are first-come, first-served, Cast Members would prefer that the spots be used by vehicles actively charging. There is no explicit enforcement of this, but the hope is that Guests will move their cars after the battery is fully charged.
I hope this was helpful, Beth. Before I let you go, don’t forget to keep an eye on your phone if you use ChargePoint charging stations for your EV. Once the battery is fully charged, ChargePoint will send an alert so you can move your vehicle and open the spot for someone else awaiting a charge. You will want to keep an eye out. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
