Valerie from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Do the peoples names on my reservation at a DVC resort using points have to be the same people I invite to go with me to a moonlight magic event on the day of check out of my reservation?

    Welcome Home, Valerie!

And a great big beautiful welcome to planDisney.  How exciting that you are planning to enjoy one of my favorite benefits of Disney Vacation Club Membership - the Moonlight Magic events!  This is a complimentary and very special benefit exclusively for eligible Members with a chance to maximize the magic of your vacation. I love that Members get to enjoy the event theme park after dark, with specialty treats, character meet and greets, and so much more. To me, it's the most magical neighborhood event on earth!

Valerie, when you reserve your spot for Moonlight Magic, the only name that will be taken at the time of registration is your own as the Disney Vacation Club Member. And then you will also provide the number of people in your party, which can not exceed the number listed on the Resort stay. If you are not staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you can reserve for yourself and up to 4 Guests for a maximum of 5 people. But the rule is you can bring in yourself as the Member plus 4 Guests, or the number staying on your resort reservations booked through your Membership.  So, you can bring different people than the ones staying on your reservation, but you can't go over the number of Guests staying with you if it is greater than 4 Guests.

When you arrive to check in, you do need to bring your Digital Member ID card, your photo ID, and all Guests coming in on your reservation must be present. Typically, you will be given a mix-in time, which is a time you can enter the park without a ticket, which can vary. However, it is usually two hours prior to the start of the event.

I hope this helps you, Valerie! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back here to see me, and I'll be so happy to help you.

Have a great big beautiful tomorrow!
