I plan to visit in mid November and am interested in booking the 70th Anniversary Guided Tour. This tour normally includes reserved viewing for Paint the Night, but since that will be paused for the holidays, what reserved viewing is included for the tour?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your planning questions.

I’m so excited that you’re going on the 70th Anniversary Guided Tour. It sounds like such a perfect experience for a lover of Disney history. As you mentioned, the tour normally includes reserved viewing for the Paint the Night parade. However, the final performance of Paint the Night is scheduled for November 9.

During the Holidays, Disneyland Park will feature A Christmas Fantasy Parade and the Believe...In Holiday Magic fireworks show. The parade currently has two scheduled showtimes at 3:00 PM and 5:15 PM, while the fireworks are slated to begin at 9:30 PM.

I stopped by the Tour Guide Station in the park to ask a Cast Member about nighttime entertainment options for those on the tour, but there’s no official word on that yet. I know that may not be the news you were hoping for, but the good news is, you still have some amazing entertainment options!

Elizabeth, keep in mind that Disneyland also offers a Home for the Holidays Guided Tour. This tour includes reserved viewing for the Christmas Fantasy Parade, as well as Lightning Lane access for Haunted Mansion Holiday. This might be a nice alternative for you and your party.

If your tour includes reserved viewing for the fireworks, I’d love to recommend a great spot to watch A Christmas Fantasy Parade. My personal favorite is near “it’s a small world.” This area is usually less crowded than Main Street and offers a view of an amazing lighting ceremony. As a bonus, “it’s a small world” Holiday often has shorter wait times after the parade, so you’ll be perfectly positioned to hop in line!

I hope this helps with your planning, Elizabeth! If you have any more questions or need a little extra pixie dust, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to help make your Disney dreams come true.

    Have a magical vacation!
