Hi, Kayla, and welcome to planDisney! I remember visiting the Disneyland Resort when my kids were babies, and having all the right supplies is essential!
It sounds like you are hoping to bring your travel-sized automatic formula maker to the parks to prepare bottles at the
Baby Care Center. After doing some research and chatting with a Cast Member, it appears that you should be able to bring it into the park, similar to other baby-related items like breast pumps. It isn't on the
list of prohibited items, but keep in mind that the Cast Members at the security checkpoints have the final say on what is allowed in the parks – if the machine is oversized or has glass components, for example, it could be flagged.
There's a
Baby Care Center in Disneyland and one in California Adventure, so rest assured that you’ll have a quiet, comfortable place when it’s time to change or feed your little one. Bottle warmers are available for use and may be an easy alternative for preparing bottles throughout your day.
Kayla, as a mom of two little ones, I wanted to share a few more tips to help you have the most magical visit.
- Use the Disneyland mobile app to filter attractions that are suitable for all ages, even babies! Just tap the location icon at the bottom of the screen to pull up the map, and then tap the "All Ages" button. You can then tap "Show List" for easy scanning.
- Both of my kids loved the Disneyland Railroad - I suggest avoiding the section between Tomorrowland and Main Street, U.S.A., since it gets quite dark.
- For some little ones, meeting Characters can be a little intimidating. My daughter was 18 months old when she first met Mickey Mouse, and she preferred to watch him from afar and wave.
- Bring a stroller that your baby is comfortable in, and make sure it conforms to the guidelines. Walking from one land to the next is a good opportunity for them to fall asleep for a nap. I usually used naptime to eat lunch at a quick-service dining location. When you know a nap is coming, you can even place a mobile order for food to make it even easier.
- There are several quieter areas across the Resort that are perfect for taking a break. Some of my family's favorites in Disneyland include the upper level of the promenade by "it's a small world," the dock behind Edelweiss Snacks, and the shaded area next to the GADGETcoaster. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and the path behind Grizzly River Run are my favorite quiet areas in California Adventure.
- Rent a locker to lighten the load you're carrying. There are different sizes available both inside the parks and in the Esplanade.
Remember, the Baby Care Center will be an excellent resource for you. It's fully staffed, comfortable, and quiet. Plus, there's even a vending machine stocked with items available for purchase, such as diapers, wipes, and pacifiers, should you need anything in a pinch.
Kayla, I hope you and your family have an amazing time at the Disneyland Resort, full of happy memories and lots of fun. If you think of any other questions as you continue planning, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

Kriss
