Hello Marie! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited for you and your mother's upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. I took my 80-year-old mother to Disney World last year and I'll never forget how she transformed into a little girl right before my eyes when she rode the carousel! Disney Parks are such a magical place.
Thank you for bringing us your great question about parades. Oh boy! These were definitely a priority for my mom too. (I can still see her waving to Mary Poppins!)
I can understand your desire, Marie, to plan ahead and maximize the magic while you are visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, however, entertainment schedules are not released until about six weeks out. I encourage you to check the
Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website as your visit gets just a little bit closer, Marie. The Daily Events Schedule is an incredibly helpful resource, not only for providing an entertainment schedule to confirm which parades will be showing and when, but also includes park hours, attraction closure information, as well as the events occurring during your visit, like my very favorite
Lunar New Year Celebration.
If you have some flexibility on dates, Marie, you may want to consider visiting California Adventure Park in early February to experience the bright and beautiful festivities of Lunar New Year and
Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession, especially if your mother is a fan of parades! Seeing it at sunset too is
dazzling.
I hope this has been helpful to you in your planning, Marie, but more than that, I hope you and your mother have such a special time immersed in the Disneyland magic. If you have any additional questions or perhaps would like tips on how to navigate the parks with a wheelchair or scooter (there's no way my mom could've experienced everything we experienced in the parks without it!), please don't hesitate to reach out again and
ask another question! I'd be happy to help!
But remember, Marie, no matter how you decide to spend your time at the Happiest Place on Earth, it's the time together with loved ones that's the real magic.
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
