Greetings, Kim! It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney. Ensuring all your gadgets and gizmos are charged up and ready to go throughout your vacation is of the utmost importance, and I'm ready to tell you all about the plugs and outlets you'll find at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort.
The outlets in your resort hotel room will be 120V Type A and B outlets. Type A outlets accept plugs with two rectangular, parallel prongs, while Type B will accept plugs with the same prongs and a third grounding pin centered underneath. These are the classic plugs that are used in the United States. Depending on the devices you are bringing to charge, you may want to bring an international plug adapter to ensure everything will fit correctly.
In addition to these regular wall outlets, there are also USB charging ports. These are USB-A ports, not the smaller USB-C ports that many newer devices use. These ports will be found on top of the dresser and on the nightstands on either side of the bed in your room, so there are plenty of charging ports for everyone in your party.
One suggestion I have for you is to pick up a
Portable Phone Charger Battery Bank from a self-service kiosk once you arrive. These third-party devices will have all kinds of adapters and cords included with the initial purchase, and I found this immensely helpful when my wife and I had two different charging ports on our phones. We were able to share the battery, replace it with a fully charged one when it was empty, and each use our respective cords. This allowed us to keep using the
My Disney Experience app on the go without worrying about the remaining battery life on our devices.
Whether you plan to plug into the wall outlet, a USB port, or utilize mobile charging, there's plenty of ways to ensure you've got enough juice to make it through your trip! Meet me back here at planDisney if you have other questions about your visit. I am happy to help!
Stay magical,
Scott
