Do all of the Polynesian DVC deluxe resort villas have a balcony?

Hey there, Kaitlin! Welcome to the Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney - great to see you again! It's always a good idea to have your next Disney adventure waiting just around the riverbend, and I'm happy to help with your question to add a little extra pixie dust to your May trip. Let's get to it!

While I'm always excited to chat about all things DVC, Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is extra-special for our family. I stayed at the Poly on my very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation in 1981, and now it's our Home Resort! The location is incredible, and the tropical theming makes you feel like you're in an island paradise far from Central Florida. While I love the flexibility to use our Vacation Points to stay at different DVC resorts, we choose the Polynesian almost every time we visit.

A balcony is a must for a resort with views of Magic Kingdom Park! When our girls were little, it was really nice to be able to tuck them into bed and then watch fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant from the balcony. Kaitlin, I'm happy to report that the DVC villas - both the original longhouses and the new Island Tower accommodations - all have a balcony. Some non-DVC standard hotel rooms do not, so it's good to know before you go!

If you are in a first-floor Deluxe Studio, you'll actually have a patio. Although the views may be obstructed by the Bungalows on the water, I am a big fan of these! You can easily pop out of your room and head to the beach to watch the fireworks and water pageant, and it is delightful to start your day with some coffee on the patio while you watch the boats on Seven Seas Lagoon.

Kaitlin, if you have a preference for a particular location or floor, I recommend calling Member Services so they can add a note to your reservation. While requests can't be guaranteed, the Cast Members at the Polynesian will go the distance to make your vacation dreams come true!

I hope this information is just what you need for a practically perfect vacation at Walt Disney World. Thanks for making a return trip to planDisney, and please come see us again if we can help with any other questions.

    Stay Magical!
