Mickey and Minnie Statues in Front of Cinderella's Castle During Fireworks

Hello! Is it possible to purchase and use both premier pass AND multi pass for/in a single park and then hop to another park and continue to use multi pass in the second park? Was thinking of doing this on 12/30 from HS to MK to attend NYE dress rehearsal.

Hey there Daniel, it's great to welcome you back to planDisney!

It looks like you've got a very ambitious end of the year planned as you look forward to spend time at the theme parks over New Year's Eve! It's great to see that you've already received some guidance from our planDisney pals Diane and Amy about their experience with handling capacity limitations on such a popularly packed day and whether purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass can help at all to get you back in if you decide to leave. Now I took the opportunity to chat with a Cast Member here at Walt Disney World Resort about your plan of action for the day, and am happy to provide you with their insight as well as my own suggestions:

    • At the current time while it is possible for guests to purchase a Lightning Lane Premier Pass as well as Lightning Lane Multi Pass to be used on the same day, these are both subject to availability and just considering how many folks and families choose to visit over the holidays, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to purchase one, let alone both - just based on my observations of how quickly Lightning Lane Premier Pass had sold around this past Thanksgiving.
    • If you're successful in snagging both for December 30, a key part of this strategy lies in the face that Lightning Lane Multi Pass will typically allow you to make selections in another theme park if your admission has Park Hopper benefits. That said, because this is one of the busiest days out of the year to be heading to Magic Kingdom Park I would personally be prepared for the chance that the availability of attractions and experiences may be very limited by the time you decide to hop over - and in the end it'll be up to you if the added cost would be worth the risk! (On December 30, 2024 the Hours and Events Calendar shows that Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks are currently scheduled to take place at both 6:50 P.M. and 11:50 P.M. and with two showings of Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at both 12:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. these may hopefully be great times to be hopping on rides while thousands of other guests are occupied watching these take place.)
    • Another important thing to note is that this information and advice only really applies at the time of writing, and policies and offerings are subject to change without prior notice. Since they began piloting this rollout there have already been changes to who is eligible to purchase Lightning Lane Premier Passes and since this will be the first-ever week of New Year's Eve when all of these will have even existed I'm curious to see how it'll work out for you as there just isn't the data or experience out there yet!

I highly encourage you to come back to let us know how successful this was in getting you on the attractions and ask us any other questions you might have to help you plan. For now, I wish you the fastest fingers and the strongest of internet connections as you prepare to make these purchases on the My Disney Experience App as soon as you are eligible!

Here's to sending off 2024 while skipping as many standby queues as you can!
