Howdy, Jaris!
Yes, you do have some flexibility here, but there are a couple of important things to keep in mind.
If you’ve already pre-booked
Lightning Lanes for
Disney's Hollywood Studios and decide you want to start your day in a different park before using any of those Lightning Lanes, you can try to modify them in the
My Disney Experience app. Lightning Lanes aren’t locked to your park choice forever, but availability is the big factor. You’ll need to go into each Lightning Lane selection and see if there’s availability in the park you want to switch to.
As far as cost goes, there is no fee just to switch or modify a Lightning Lane. The only time you’d see a price difference is if you’re switching a
Lightning Lane Single Pass attraction, such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Avatar Flight of Passage, and the new attraction has a higher price that day. In that case, Disney would charge the difference. If the new attraction costs less, you typically won’t get a refund for the price difference.
One thing to remember is that Lightning Lanes are tied to park availability for that specific day. During busy times, especially at Hollywood Studios, popular rides can book up quickly, so switching parks may mean fewer or less desirable options.
My best advice is to double-check availability early in the morning before making the switch, and only change if you see Lightning Lanes you’re happy with in the new park.
Jaris, I hope this helps, and here's some pixie dust for you on your new Lightning Lane selections!
Toodles,
Korliss
