Welcome to planDisney, Jack!
I recently stayed at the
Disneyland Hotel and loved being immersed in the Disney magic. I also had the chance to stay at
Pixar Place Hotel this past November, and the theming there is so creative and full of Pixar charm. I’m happy to help answer your hotel questions!
Based on your description, I believe you're asking about the Premium View rooms at either the
Disneyland Hotel or
Pixar Place Hotel. The answer varies a bit depending on which hotel you're considering, so let’s break it down for each one.
At the Disneyland Hotel, Premium View rooms can potentially offer views of Disneyland, but this isn’t guaranteed. Some rooms in this category overlook the hotel’s pool area instead. Your specific view will depend on availability at check-in, though you can certainly request a park view as a preference. Cast Members will do their best to honor that request when possible. To reach Disneyland from the hotel, you have two options: hop aboard the
Disneyland Monorail (located inside Downtown Disney, just a short walk from the hotel), or enjoy a leisurely stroll through Downtown Disney to the park entrance which is about a 15-minute walk, depending on your pace.
At the Pixar Place Hotel, Premium View rooms do not offer views of Disneyland. Instead, these rooms may provide views of Disney California Adventure, depending on room location and availability. The alternate view in this category is of the pool deck. While Pixar Place Hotel doesn’t have direct access to Disneyland, guests can walk through
Downtown Disney to reach it. However, one fantastic perk of staying here is the special entrance into Disney California Adventure, located just across the street from the hotel. This entrance drops you right into Pixar Pier, making it incredibly convenient, especially after a full day in the parks! During my stay, I really appreciated how quickly we could return to our room using this entrance.
Regardless of which hotel you choose, you’ll enjoy
Early Entry access to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure each day of your stay. Early Entry begins 30 minutes before regular park opening and is a great way to experience popular attractions with shorter wait times. You can find the Early Entry schedule on the Disneyland website. Just be sure to have your hotel room key and valid theme park reservation handy to take advantage of this benefit.
Jack, I hope this helps you decide which hotel is the best fit for your upcoming trip. If you have any more questions about the resorts or would like additional vacation tips, please visit us again at planDisney.
Have a magical stay!
