Hiya Linda,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are moving to Florida! That has always been a goal of mine so that I can enjoy even more visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
So great question, Linda! As you pointed out, a dining plan is traditionally added onto a
Vacation Package, but there is one exception to that. If you have an Annual Pass, you can add a
dining plan to a room-only resort hotel reservation without purchasing theme park tickets, as you would with a traditional vacation package. As a note, you will need to have a resort hotel reservation to do this. The great news is that this isn’t just for Florida Resident passholders; anyone with an annual pass can do it by speaking to a Cast Member over the
phone (it needs to be done manually). Currently, this is the only way to add on a dining plan without purchasing a vacation package.
I hope this was helpful, Linda! Before I let you go, don’t forget to check out the
Special Offers webpage for Florida Resident (and Annual Passholder) offers for resort hotels as you start planning your next vacation. You never know what amazing deals you will find for your vacation! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
