Hello there Thusa, and welcome to planDisney! Thank you for visiting with your question today. You'll be visiting Disney World soon... woo hoo! I'm excited for your wonderful countdown, and am happy to help you find a terrific fireworks experience.
You sound a like a castle-and-fireworks loving person after my own heart. Is there any better way to spend an evening than watching magical fireworks at Walt Disney World? I think not.
While Disney doesn't offer half-day or evening only park admission tickets, I've got some pixie-dusted ideas for you!
Special "Disney After Hours" Events are held in the evening at select parks, on select dates. I do see dates offered for a
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom through May, so perhaps this would work for you? These events are absolutely fantastic, and typically allow you to enter the park at 7:00 pm. It's a spectacular party that comes with all kinds of extra perks... like short wait times on attractions, extra character interactions, and included drinks and snacks. I'm also seeing on the
Operating Calendar, that if you attend the 5/19 "Disney After Hours" event at Magic Kingdom you will be able to see TWO fireworks shows that evening! Happily Ever After is showing at 9:20 pm, and Disney Enchantment at 11:00 pm. My heart feels twitterpated just thinking about it!
If this doesn't work for your plans, Thusa... please don't despair. With a little faith, trust, and pixie-dust, you can find a wonderful alternative experience. Some of my family's favorite memories have been grabbing a delicious Dole Whip at the nearby Polynesian Resort's
Pineapple Lanai, then strolling down to the sandy shore and watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks across the water! The Polynesian plays the music soundtrack outdoors in this area, so you can get the full emotional effect while watching the fireworks show. It's quite delightful! Or you could have dinner at the also nearby Contemporary Resort's
California Grill, and enjoy watching Magic Kingdom's evening fireworks from their outdoor patio viewing area, which also plays the accompanying soundtrack.
I hope this helps you plan a practically perfect evening of magic and fireworks while at Disney World. Please
visit me again at planDisney if I can assist you with anything further.
See ya' real soon!
