I purchase the park hopper and lighting pass for my sister that will be going us. Does she need to download the app to get her eticket?

    Hello Phuong!

Welcome to planDisney. We love helping fellow Guests just like you navigate their way through the magic, so you came to the right place! You and your family are in for some unforgettable memory making!

Let's make sure everyone in your group has their Disneyland ducks in a row. It sounds like you are the planner in your family and have purchased all the tickets, so they are currently linked to your account. I hope I have that right! While your sister doesn't technically need to have it linked to her account if she is with you, I'd recommend it to give the group a bit more flexibility. I'm guessing there may be times when you aren't always together, and it will give everyone a bit more freedom in their day. Happy to walk you through this process.

First things first, your sister will want to download the Disneyland app and create her account, if she hasn't already. Once she's all set there, you will both head into the app on your phones and tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets & Passes". You will stay here and scroll to your sister's ticket. Your sister will tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner and select "Link Tickets and Passes". There are a few ways to do this. If you are physically in the same space, she can tap "Camera" and scan the ticket bar code from your phone. If not, you will send her the ticket ID number underneath the barcode, and she can select "Type ID" to enter it manually. Once that's complete, I recommend that your sister head back to "My Tickets & Passes" and just double-check that her ticket is visible. You can use this process for any additional Guests you are visiting with as well. It allows each individual to enter and exit the parks on their own, and you can also make Lightning Lane selections for anyone that is linked to your account. Since you have all the tickets currently, you would be able to make them for your full party, and if your sister linked both her ticket and yours, she would be able to make them for you both or just herself.

Are you still with me, Phuong? I know that was a lot to process! I hope you will get to spend a little time at California Adventure - you are arriving for the final day of the Food & Wine Festival on April 21, and it is not to be missed! I highly recommend grabbing a Sip and Savor Pass - they are available with 4 or 8 selections - to sip and snack your way through the festival marketplace. It's perfect for sharing ... or keeping all to yourself! Truly embracing the influence of all things California, you'll find fresh, local ingredients and unique combinations. Also, the 21st will be the last day to experience Soarin' Over California before it returns to Soarin' Over the World!

I hope this was helpful, Phuong! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney.

    Magic awaits!
