Hi Julia! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
At this time, Guests need both a valid
admission ticket and a theme park reservation when entering the parks at the Disneyland Resort. The system currently is set up to conveniently assist in this process: During your ticket purchase transaction, you're asked to select your preferred park days and park. Those selections became your theme park reservations for this merry trip, which is why you aren't able to make new reservations. A 2-day ticket will only allow you to hold two reservations, so you're not able to confirm additional ones. You can either keep your existing reservations or modify them to new dates and parks depending on your plans. I hope that's good news.
Even if your original plans still hold, let's check on those reservations to put your mind at rest! Do you have the
Disneyland mobile app downloaded to your mobile device? It'll be a very handy tool for your park day, allowing you to check wait times, mobile order food and beverages from participating dining locations, find your favorite Characters, and more. Play around in it to familiarize yourself with all its functions. But first, tap the three-bar menu on the bottom right to bring up a series of tiles. Scroll down and click "Future Plans." This should bring up not only your future theme park reservations but also any dining plans and extras you might have booked. Hopefully, your perfect day is already there and you're ready to scan into the parks!
We can also take a look online and make any changes you see fit to make. On the
theme park reservation page, click the "Make or Modify Park Reservations" button to be taken to a page of all your confirmed reservations. If they still work for you, you won't need to touch a thing. However, if you'd like to visit on a different day or select a different park, click the "Modify Reservation" link you should see under the confirmation number for that day's par reservation and follow the onscreen prompts. Just be aware that this is a very popular time of year and it is possible for a day or a park to fill up. Make your selections soon if need be! I don't want you to miss out on your jolly plans.
The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are full of wonder and festivity. What's on your must-do list? We'll be arriving soon too and I can't wait to enjoy the entertainment with my boys, and the holiday overlays on select Attractions will top our list. Check the
Daily Events Schedule for the current information on what you can explore on your upcoming park days.
Happy New Year!
