Hey there Ed, thanks for stopping by planDisney with your excellent planning question!
Whether you purchased a
Disneyland Resort Magic Key Pass or standard
theme park tickets, you will need a corresponding
theme park reservation for either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. I recommend doing this as soon as you have your trip dates planned, since reservation availability is limited.
If you are a Magic Key Holder or you have added the
Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets, you can select your starting park for your theme park reservation, and then you're able to hop over to the other park later in the day as long as the park has not reached capacity. Since it is so easy to walk over to the other park, I always recommend for Guests to add on the Park Hopper option if they're able to!
I hope you're able to experience the magic and happiness of the
Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration! The nighttime spectaculars and entertainment are always a highlight for me, whether it's the Disney storytelling of
Wondrous Journeys, or the vibrant lights and soundtrack of the
Paint the Night parade.
Best of luck securing your theme park reservations, Ed! Don't hesitate to
come back to planDisney if we can help with anything else!
Have a magical day,
Melissa
