I purchased 2 tickets for my grown children from AAA. If I link them to my account, can I re-assign them the boys? How do I do this?

Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer! Thank you for reaching out with your question. How exciting that you’re planning a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort for your family! It sounds like you’re getting everything organized so your children can join in the fun. I’d be happy to help you understand how to link and reassign your tickets so everyone is ready to make the most of their Disney adventure!

You can reassign the Disney World tickets you purchased to your children, as long as the tickets haven’t been used yet. Disney allows completely unused tickets to be reassigned to someone else on your Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience. Once a ticket has been used for park entry, it becomes permanently linked to that person and can’t be transferred.

To do this, first make sure your children are added to your Family & Friends list in your My Disney Experience account. You can add them either through the app or the Disney World website. Once they’ve accepted your invitation, open the My Disney Experience app and go to “Tickets & Passes.” Find the tickets you want to reassign and tap “Reassign Ticket.” You’ll then see the names of people on your Family & Friends list, and you can select the correct person to assign each ticket to. If you prefer to use the website, you can log into your account, go to “My Plans,” then to “Tickets & Memory Maker,” and choose “Reassign Ticket” from there.

After the reassignment, your children will see the tickets in their own accounts and can use them for park entry. It’s important to confirm that the tickets haven’t been used or linked to any other plans, such as park reservations or Lightning Lane selections, because once any of those actions are tied to a specific guest, the ticket cannot be transferred. As long as the tickets are still unused, you’ll have no trouble linking them to your account and then reassigning them to your sons.

Jennifer, I hope this helps you get everything set up smoothly so your family can focus on the fun that awaits at Walt Disney World Resort. With your tickets linked and ready to go, you’re all set to make magical memories together. Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question. Wishing you and your family a wonderful vacation filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable Disney moments!
